Addressing an election rally in Gomti district’s Radhakishorpur, the Prime Minister said that the old players of mismanagement have joined hands for ‘donation’. ‘Kushti’ fighters in Kerala have ‘friended’ in Tripura. He said that the opposition wants to divide votes. Some smaller parties are waiting for the election results hoping to get their price.
The Left-Congress created divisions among the tribals
Earlier in the day, Modi, while addressing an election rally at Ambasa in Dhalai district, alleged that the Left Front and Congress party governments have divided tribal people, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has created division among tribals. Worked to solve the problems of other communities including the ‘Bru’ tribe. He said that BJP is working for the upliftment of tribal community across the country. We have resettled 37,000 ‘Bru’ people displaced from Mizoram in Tripura. Our government has included the tribal language ‘Kokborok’ in higher education.

Modi said that in the Union Budget, the BJP government at the Center has allocated one lakh crore rupees for the development of tribal areas. Referring to the fight against Kovid-19, he said that many people in the Left-ruled state were suffering from the corona virus and died, but Tripura was safe because the BJP worked to save lives. Modi appealed to the people to vote for a ‘double engine’ government to continue the development of the northeastern state. He said to beware of double edged sword of Congress and Left parties, they want to stop all schemes which are beneficial to people.

He said that only Congress and Left parties know how to deceive people. He alleged that the people had to bear the brunt of his years of misrule. Modi said that both parties want the poor to remain poor. These parties have never understood the pain of the poor. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, houses have been constructed for three lakh families in the state, benefiting 12 lakh people, while five lakh poor people have been made beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and toilets have been constructed in four lakh houses.
He said that the first dental college in the state was also built during the tenure of the BJP government. He said that in Gomti district alone, about 40,000 farmers have deposited Rs 80 crore in their bank accounts. Modi said CPI(M) workers were controlling the police stations, while the BJP had established the rule of law in the state. The Prime Minister said that the BJP has liberated Tripura from the atmosphere of fear and the culture of ‘donation’.
Referring to the initiatives taken by his government for the development of the state, Modi said that the Centre’s ‘Act East’ policy will greatly benefit Tripura’s economy and the state will soon become the gateway to South East Asia. The Prime Minister said that there is an atmosphere of peace in Tripura and employment opportunities are also increasing. He said that the BJP government at the Center has increased the budget allocation for the Northeast several times.
