In WPL 2023 on Wednesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered their first win in six matches by defeating UP Warriors by 5 wickets.The hero of this victory was Kanika Ahuja, who played a brilliant inning of 46 runs for RCB. He said, ‘Yes, it was very stressful. We lost a few wickets early in the 7th over, but the way Kanika and Richa played was commendable. I am especially proud of Kanika. I am really excited to watch him, he is a 360-degree player, which is not common in Indian cricket.
Chasing 136 runs, the RCB team was in a difficult position at 60/4 in 9 overs. Both the team’s openers Smriti Mandhana (0) and Sophie Devine (14) soon returned to the pavilion.
