Tunisha Sharma was found dead on the sets of her TV show Ali Baba Dastan-e-Kabul on 24 December. The actor, who has worked in television and films, played Princess Maryam in the fantasy adventure series. On Tuesday, the body of the 20-year-old woman was brought to Bhayandar for the last rites. Her former co-stars and industry members Shivin Narang, Vishal Jethwa and Kanwar Dhillon also visited Sharma’s home to offer condolences to Tunisha’s family. Tunisha and her Ali Baba Dastaan-e-Kabul co-star Sheezan Khan had ended their relationship two weeks before his death. He was arrested on Sunday on charges of abetment to suicide. The sister and mother of accused Sheejan Khan also reached the cremation ground in Mira Road area for his last rites. Tunisha’s mother also alleged that Sheejan cheated on her daughter. His FIR was registered and later the actor was arrested. Police is probing the matter and Sheezan is said to be being questioned once again as he said on Tuesday that he was “changing his statement time and again”.
The actor’s mortal remains were brought to his residence in an ambulance from Bhayandar Government Hospital. His postmortem was done earlier this week at JJ Hospital in Mumbai.
Kanwar, who co-stars with Tunisha in the show Internet Wala Love, arrived separately and requested the media persons gathered outside to cooperate with the housing society and not create hysteria for other residents of the building. He shared an Instagram post remembering Tunisha and wrote, ‘You spent 3 months with us in the first lockdown and by the time you went back to Chandigarh, you were a changed person. We are glad you found a family here! Your health, your struggle, your first car, I was with you in everything. I was always rooting for you, even when you didn’t know it! Seeing you lying lifeless in the hospital with your mother broke something inside me.
TV actress Ashnoor Kaur also came to pay tribute to the family. As soon as he entered the building where Tunisha lived, he put on a black mask and a light blue kurta.
Tunisha made her acting debut in the TV series Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. She was also seen in the shows Chakraborty Ashok Samrat, Gabbar Poonchwala, Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Internet Wala Love and Ishq Subhan Allah. She played the younger version of actress Katrina Kaif in the films Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho in 2016. He also acted in the films Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh and Dabangg 3.
