  • Revealed for the first time about talks with TTP
  • Alert issued on increasing threat of terrorist attacks
  • The country’s local Taliban had an open threat

TTP: The Balochistan Police on Thursday issued a security alert warning of possible attacks across the province by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to Pakistani media reports, the letter issued by the Central Police Office Quetta said that the banned outfit has threatened to launch attacks in various cities of Balochistan including Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Ziarat and Lorelai. In view of the danger, the police and other law enforcement agencies need to remain vigilant and improve the security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident, the letter said.

fear of terrorist attacks

On 8 October, PPP Senator Reza Rabbani asked Speaker Sadiq Sanjrani during a Senate meeting to take the Parliament and the public at large into confidence about the current state of peace talks with the TTP. asked to give instructions. Rabbani explained that when talks with the TTP were first disclosed, there was a call to take Parliament on board. According to the Pakistani media report, he expressed regret that the demand for a matter related to the future of the coming generations fell on deaf ears. He said no one knew the terms of the ceasefire and the status of talks with the group. Earlier, the Interior Ministry issued an alert on the growing threat of terrorist attacks by the group or its factions after talks with the TTP recently broke down.

Pakistan has already received threats
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which shed tears of blood to the Pakistan Army, was an open threat by the country’s local Taliban. The TTP had said that the government and army of Pakistan were not following the path prescribed in Sharia law. Pakistan’s military, judiciary and politicians have implemented the constitution instead of Sharia law. A delegation of senior Pakistani clerics had reached Afghanistan to hold talks with the representatives of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, but the talks failed. This delegation of senior clerics of Pakistan had gone to talk to the representatives of TTP regarding the peace deal, but the Pakistan Army recently killed two TTP commanders, due to which TTP got angry with Pakistan.
