American popular crime drama ‘Blue Bloods’ is set to return for another season with the lead cast set to return. Although the series is currently in the middle of airing Season 13, which follows a dynasty of police officers guided by Patriarch Frank, portrayed by Tom Selleck, the show runner decided to commit to another season. This police procedural drama series was nominated for a 2013 Emmy, premiered on CBS in 2010, and has since aired a total of 269 episodes.
Reportedly, Blue Bloods Season 14 has been renewed ahead of the Season 13 finale, which will air on May 19. Selleck will return for the new season along with the rest of the notable cast, including Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Danny Reagan, Bridget Moynahan as ADA Erin. Reagan and of course the American Dream’s Will Estes as Sergeant Jamie Reagan.
Veteran actor Tom Selleck who has played many roles since the late 1960s. His most iconic performance from the past 10+ years was with this police procedural show. However, his most critically acclaimed role would be in the crime show Magnum, PI, which ran for eight seasons and aired a total of 158 seasons, earning Tom five Emmy nominations. Although Tom Selleck was the initial artist for Indiana Jones even before Blue Bloods began. But George Lucas changed his mind at the last minute. Even though Selleck’s magnum, P.I. landed him a gig on Blue Bloods, little has followed any of his other roles on the CBS police drama.
Now that Blue Bloods is set to run for another season, fans can expect more tight scripts and stellar performances from the 78-year-old actor, even in his late ’70s, as Selleck’s own work. The commitment to is unprecedented.
