TV actor Katie Roast shared her health update on Twitter. She said she went into ‘rehab’ when she tried her best to stay away from drugs and sex. She also shared that she has started on her ‘recovery’ mode. Katie was a full-time housewife for only one season of The Real Housewives of Potomac and it appears she wasn’t in the best of mental health at the time. Through the years, she has been open about her efforts to improve her mental health. His fans and celebrity friends were quick to respond to his tweet with recovery messages. Last week on Twitter, Katie wrote, “I got sick again, I decided to stay off drugs, white paws and adderall and sex, tonight I failed one of those. I did what I needed immediately. Should have gone to the meeting. But yeah, start: Day 1.” He used the hashtag ‘recovery’. Actor Ross Mullan commented, “Well done Katie. Recovery isn’t always linear. When we slip it can be tough but try not to beat yourself up. Time for self love. Best of luck to you.” ” Singer Jack Remington wrote, “One step at a time Katie, we all support you.” Anchor Latoya Silmon commented, “Pulling for you.” Miss Val wrote, “No problem. You did a brave thing by being honest about relapsing. You are very much loved and there are many people here who love and support you. Recovery is hard but you are doing the best you can and you got this x.
Reacting to the post, one of Katy’s fans wrote, “Relapse is a part of recovery babe. Don’t get down on yourself as much as possible because you can learn from it, find out what triggered you and work on it. I believe in you. Recovery is hard but you are being honest with yourself and all of us, and it is most important to stick to your truth while you heal. To which, she replied, “Thank you. It’s not the end of the world, I’m fine. But because I’ve always been an addict, it’s kind of sad to be again, especially after feeling so bold. Man, the greatest gift I’ve ever received is this: going to a meeting.” Another fan commented, “Okay, addiction specialist here. And I remind you that you are not a beginner, not at all. I know you have learned a lot throughout your journey and that doesn’t end there. You just learned something new, so work on putting it into practice. But always be kind and gentle to yourself! To which she replied, “Thanks for that… yes. My sponsor said the same thing”
Another fan commented, ‘The important thing is that you were honest with yourself and didn’t try to trivialize it. Happy first day and everyone else!” To which, she said, “Thanks sister, it’s hard, not epic bad, but yeah. I turned over and it felt hard.”
When the Bravo show RHOP premiered in 2016, Roast became a main cast member, but only appeared as a guest or ‘friend’ of the housewives. She is known for her unpredictable conduct on the show, such as when she disappeared during a Season 4 group trip to the Cayman Islands in 2019.
