Even today Nehru vs Modi
Ever since it was announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the new Parliament. Since then the face of the opposition has risen. Congress especially criticized it. The central government announced the installation of ‘Sengol’, a historical symbol of the transfer of power, in the new parliament. Union Home Minister Amit Shah came forward and said that in the year 1947, Lord Mountbatten handed over the power of India by giving this Sengol to Jawaharlal Nehru. This symbolized the transfer of power from the British to Indian hands. However, Sengol was then kept at Anand Bhavan in Allahabad (now Prayagraj). Here was his description, the stick gifted to Jawaharlal Nehru, the BJP alleged that the Congress had forgotten Sengol. He did not respect her. It was only natural that the Congress would be annoyed if Nehru’s name was mentioned again and again. Along with this, on the day of the inauguration of the new parliament, Nehru was against Modi.
Parliament is the voice of the people: Rahul Gandhi
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi called Parliament the voice of the people. Targeting the inauguration of the new Parliament building by Modi, he said that Parliament is the voice of the people. The Prime Minister is treating the inauguration of Parliament House as a coronation.
Several opposition forces boycotted the launch ceremony
More than 20 opposition forces, including the Congress, boycotted the ceremony. He accused the BJP of not inviting President Draupadi Murmu. This led to a boycott of the inauguration of Parliament House, calling it an insult to the country’s first tribal president.
