Tech Mahindra to hire 3,000 people in Gujarat in next five years

Tech Mahindra, the country’s fifth largest IT services exporter, on Tuesday announced that it will hire 3,000 people in Gujarat over the next five years.

The company’s current workforce in Gujarat could not be immediately ascertained.

It on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government under its IT/ITES (IT Enabled Services) policy.

The company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive CP Gurnani said that this agreement will enable the company to meet the changing engineering needs of enterprises and appreciates the state for improving ease of doing business.

The government has so far signed 15 MoUs with domestic and global companies under the IT/ITES policy, which will create around 26,750 skilled IT employment opportunities in the state, an official statement said.
