Shark Tank India has seen several promising entrepreneurs impacting the ‘Sharks’ with their innovative ideas. But it is Ajinkya Dharia who not only impresses the sharks but also makes them fight amongst themselves to grab his business idea. Lenskart COO Piyush Bansal offered her a deal of any amount she wished and Anupam Mittal was ready to match the figure while Namita Thapar and Vinita Singh wooed her in the name of Nari Shakti. Sony Entertainment Television shared the promo of Ajinkya Dharia’s deal with the caption, “For the first time in history, Sharks offer Ajinkya a mouth-watering deal (For the first time in history, Sharks give Ajinkya everything he wants) ).” Ajinkya wanted to fund his company which provides a solution for disposal of sanitary napkins. he wanted 50 lakh for two percent equity.
It is shown in the promo that Piyush is the first person to offer Ajinkya a dream deal. He tells him, “1 chahiye, 1.25 chahiye, 1.5 chahiye, 2 chahiye, 2.5 chahiye, whatever you want, take your valuation. If yes then you are a genius or lucky. He begins to write a blank cheque, but Vinita shouts at him to stop doing so. He said, “Look, I will do the deal, you will have to do it, not do it. Batadia, mujhe negotiate nahi karna (You tell me the amount, you have already told the percentage, I don’t want to negotiate further).
Looking at Piyush’s offering, Aman Gupta shouted, “Oh my God, this is wonderful.” Anupam Mittal says he can match the offer 1 crore for four percent equity. He says, ‘I don’t think you should reduce equity further. Protect equity, as your mother said.
Namita also jumps in and says, “That’s why my and Vinita’s offer is the best, listen.” We’ll be your champion. Vinita continues, “Two women want to join you in this cause.”
Ajinkya finally 1 crore deal with these four for 4 per cent equity. He is 26 years old and a resident of Pune.
