Team India has suffered a major setback before the second T20 International against Sri Lanka. Indian star batsman Sanju Samson is out of the team. Samson suffered a knee injury while fielding during the first T20 match against Sri Lanka.
BCCI issued a statement regarding Sanju Samson’s injury. BCCI told, Samson has stayed in Mumbai only. Where he will be scanned. After the exclusion of Sanju Samson, Vidarbha wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma has been included in the Indian team. He will remain as cover for Ishaan Kishan in the next two matches. It is known that Jitesh had performed brilliantly while playing for Punjab Kings in IPL, for which he has been rewarded.
Sanju Samson could not do anything special in the first match against Sri Lanka. Surya faced 10 balls, in which he scored 7 runs with the help of only one four and returned to the pavilion after getting out.
Team India had a thrilling victory in the first T20 match against Sri Lanka. India defeated Sri Lanka by two runs in the match played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After losing the toss, the Indian team had scored a score of 162 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Sri Lankan team was all out for 160 runs in 20 overs.
