Zelensky’s statement on Russian attacks
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said about the Russian attacks that many people have been killed and many have been injured in the attacks across the country. Putin, who was aggressive after the Crimean bridge blast, also called a meeting of the National Security Council in the Kremlin today (October 10).
The deputy head of Ukraine’s presidential office, Kirillo Timoshenko, called on social media on Monday for people to stay in safe havens, saying there were reports of attacks in several cities across the country. According to the news agency AFP, the attack was carried out in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv at 8:15 am local time. After this, several ambulances were seen going towards the blast site. Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko informed via social media that several explosions occurred in the Shevchenkivsky district in the center of the capital.
Earlier, Russia had last attacked Kyiv on 26 June. The Russian attacks began after it accused Ukraine of blasting the Crimean bridge. Russian President Vladimir Putin has called the Crimea bridge blast a terrorist attack. Although no one has claimed responsibility for the blast, Putin has blamed Ukraine and Europe for it.
Let us tell you that on October 8, an explosive-laden vehicle parked on Europe’s longest bridge connecting the Azov Sea to the Black Sea exploded. After this some part of the bridge was burnt down and fell down. The very next day, Russian forces fired missiles at a multi-storey building in Zaporizhia, killing 17 people and injuring more than 40.
