Rishi Sunak’s popularity skyrocketed as soon as he became the Prime Minister of Britain, the opposition Labor Party was shocked

UK PM Rishi Sunak: Rishi Sunak has also outperformed opposition Labor Party leader Sir Keir Starmer in a popularity poll just days after becoming the PM. Surveyors Redfield and Wilton, in a survey conducted from October 25-26, asked people who they considered the better prime minister. To this 39 per cent people have chosen Rishi Sunak in their answer, which is six per cent more than the survey conducted in early September. In the survey, 38 percent of the people said they would like Sir Keer four percent less than Sunak.

Let us tell you that in the first two days in Rishi Sunak’s office, 1,500 people were consulted. It came as a blow to the Labor Party as Sir Keir’s party was leading the Tories in polls on voting amid the chaos of Liz Truss’s premiership in recent weeks. Sunak was elected by the people as the new leader of the Tories on Monday, before becoming prime minister on Tuesday.

Sunak beats Sir Keir of the Labor Party in popularity

Sunak faced Labor leader Sir Keir in his first PMQ in the Commons on Wednesday, in which Tory lawmakers repeatedly shouted pro-Sunak slogans in support of their new leader. With Sunak’s arrival, people welcomed him with loud applause and slogans and the benches thrashed so hard that Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle even warned him not to damage the furniture to please the PM.

Sunak took a jibe at Sir Keir, saying that Labor leaders rarely leave North London trying to stop Brexit.

Sunak made big announcements as soon as he took over as PM

In his first speech outside 10 Downing Street on Tuesday, Sunak said he had been chosen as Tory leader to correct the mistakes of his predecessor PM Truss. He also warned that Britain was facing a serious economic crisis after Vladimir Putin’s brutal war in Ukraine.

Sunak said tough decisions will have to be taken in the times to come, but promised to reiterate the generosity shown during the coronavirus pandemic and vowed not to leave debts to future generations and pay for themselves.
