Actress Kamya Punjabi is the latest celebrity to join Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday, Rahul posted several pictures of people joining him on Instagram. In the first picture, Kamya is seen smiling and sharing a conversation with Rahul Gandhi as they were walking together. For the meeting, Kamya wore a white outfit, wrapped a white and black scarf around her neck and also wore a black jacket. Rahul was seen in white T-shirt and gray pants. Several other pictures showed Rahul posing with people, shaking hands, saluting and hugging.
He captioned the post, “Uttar Pradesh has been the birthplace and workplace of great politicians of India. From time to time this great state has given a new direction to the country with its awareness. It has received immense public support from the residents of Uttar Pradesh. ” The state is proof that the people of the state are ready to give a befitting reply to hatred, fight against inflation and unemployment, pave the way for the bright future of the country and the state by weaving India in one thread. Kamya also took to her Twitter account and re-shared a video posted by the official handle of the Congress. He captioned the post, “Come join our India.”
Earlier, several film and television personalities joined Rahul Gandhi in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Kamal Haasan, Swara Bhaskar, Rashmi Desai, Akanksha Puri, Amol Palekar and his wife Sandhya Gokhale along with Pooja Bhatt and Riya Sen also participated in the walk.
The Congress leader started his journey on September 7, 2022. He started the Bharat Jodo Yatra to raise awareness on key political issues. The mass contact initiative of Congress started from Kanyakumari on 7th September. So far, it has covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and is currently passing through Uttar Pradesh.
Kamya joined Congress in October 2021. Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla welcomed him. In response to Tehseen’s tweet, Kamya had said, ‘Thank you very much Tehseen! She was also a part of the second season of Comedy Circus and participated in Bigg Boss 7. She was also a part of many films like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Yaadein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Koi Mil Gaya.
