Many people say that under the guise of Qatar World Cup, they are engaged in playing the game which is related to Islamic propaganda. Electronic boards about Islam have been put up in 30 languages. These boards have been installed at the entry gate in such a way that the visitors can see them from the phone. Along with this, booklets telling about Islam have also been printed in different languages and these are being distributed among the people.
A pavilion was also set up by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the country. The purpose of this pavilion is to inform people about Islam and its teachings during the Football World Cup. World Cup fans are being told about the words, deeds and habits of Prophet Muhammad during the World Cup. These things are written on the walls along the roads.
ban on beer
Qatar was preparing for the World Cup for the last 12 years. Qatar has also banned the sale of beer during the Football World Cup. From roads to hotels and stadiums were built to give fans a new experience. Also a new subway system was launched. But as soon as the World Cup started, the authorities banned the sale of beer or alcohol in the stadium. Only non-alcoholic drinks are allowed to be sold in the stadium. Alcohol is banned in Qatar under the rules of Islam. But youth above 21 years can buy in restaurants and bars. However, drinking alcohol in public is a crime.
Zakir Naik was invited
Recently, there was a stir in India because of the news that Zakir Naik was going to be seen in the World Cup. Zakir Naik is wanted in India for money laundering and hate speech. In 2016, he fled India after a terrorist attack on a cafe in Bangladesh. 22 people were killed in this attack in the capital Dhaka. There were reports after the attack that the attackers were greatly influenced by Zakir Naik’s speech. In November last year, the Government of India banned Zakir Naik and his organization for five years.
Presently he is in Malaysia and has got permanent residence here. Canada and UK have also banned it. He has also been included in 16 banned people in Malaysia. It is believed that he was also involved in the Delhi riots in the year 2020. But his presence in Qatar had troubled the Indian agencies. Qatar says that it did not invite Naik.
