But as soon as the World Cup started, the authorities banned the sale of beer or alcohol in the stadium. Only non-alcoholic drinks are allowed to be sold in the stadium. Alcohol is banned in Qatar under the rules of Islam. But youth above 21 years can buy in restaurants and bars. However, drinking alcohol in public is a crime.
