Pune The ruckus has started over the alleged notice issued to women lawyers by the Registrar of the District Court. In the notice tweeted by senior advocate Indira Jaising, the date of issue of the notice has been written as October 20. It has been said that when women lawyers get their hair groomed in court, it affects the judicial process. It has been said that it is being seen time and again that women lawyers start grooming their hair inside the court.
This affects the ongoing judicial process in the court. In this notice issued under the signature of the Registrar of the Court, all women lawyers have been instructed to refrain from such activities. Tweeting this notice, Advocate Indira Jaising has written that ‘Wow, look, who is giving instructions to women lawyers and why’.
Bar Association denied the notice
Advocate Pandurang Thorve, President of Pune Bar Association has denied this notice. He said that till now he or his office has not received any such notice. He said that all kinds of notices related to lawyers come to his office, but till now no such notice has come. However, a lawyer quoting the Bar and Bench website said that the notice was withdrawn on Saturday itself after the ruckus started on the issue.
Last Friday was the last working day
Bar President Thorve said that last Friday was the last working day. Diwali holidays have started from Saturday. He was in his office till Friday evening, but he did not get any such information. However, now some such reports are coming, in which it is being said that the notice is issued and it should be withdrawn.
But he can speak in this regard only after reaching the office again after the court opens. At the same time, while reacting to such notices, he said that there are some rules and regulations to maintain the judicial process. It is everyone’s responsibility to maintain them.
Senior advocate Indira Jaising, posting the photo of this notice on social media, wrote that ‘Wow, look, who is giving instructions to the women lawyers and why’. On the other hand, the Pune Bar Association has denied any such notice. Said that till now the bar has not received any such notice. However, according to sources, the Registrar has withdrawn this notice after the ruckus started in this regard.
