Highlights:
- Today’s result of Gujarat election has proved all the political analysts wrong.
- Most of the exit polls also predicted BJP to get 110 to 120 seats.
- However, the BJP defied all these predictions and broke Madhavsinh Solanki’s record of 149 seats with a historic win.
Then the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that, Thank you Gujarat. Thank you Gujarat. I am very emotional after seeing the extraordinary result of Gujarat assembly elections. People also want the politics of development and now they have expressed their desire that they want to continue this pace of development. I bow down to the people power of Gujarat. While in another tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote that, I want to say to all the hardworking workers of Bharatiya Janata Party Gujarat that you are all champions. This historic victory would not have been possible without your hard work. You are the true strength of the party.
As soon as the results of the Gujarat elections started to be announced in the morning, the celebrations started at the BJP offices. The BJP was leading in more than 150 seats from the start, and as the results of each seat were announced, the opposition leaders began to express disappointment. This victory is also important for the BJP because this time the anti-incumbency wave was believed to be very strong. Also, the voting percentage was also very low. Because of this, it was estimated that BJP will get hit. However, due to the hard work of PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the management of state president CR Patil, BJP managed to win.
With BJP winning 156 seats, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has broken Madhav Singh Solanki’s record of 149 seats and Narendra Modi’s record of 127 seats in 2002. A meeting of the newly elected BJP MLA will be held at Kamalam tomorrow or 10th December. The swearing-in ceremony of the new government is likely to be held at the Gandhinagar helipad on 12th December.
