Pakistan: Massive fire in bus in Karachi, Pakistan – 18 flood victims scorched to death, many injured

Pakistan Bus Fire: A massive fire broke out in a bus in Karachi, Pakistan on Wednesday (October 12) night. 18 passengers on board the bus have been burnt alive, while many passengers have been injured. It is being told that the bus carrying the flood victims was going from Karachi to Khairpur Nathan Shah area, but the bus caught fire near Nooriabad on the super highway.

The incident took place on the M-9 motorway connecting the port city of Karachi with the cities of Hyderabad and Jamshoro in Sindh province. The flood affected people were going back to their homes in this bus.

18 killed in bus fire

Parliamentary Health Secretary Siraj Qasim Soomro told the media that so far 18 people have died in the accident, 10 people are said to be injured. According to news agency Reuters, Jamshoro District Commissioner Asif Jameel told that the people who were traveling in the bus were flood-affected people. All of them were on their way back to their homes in Dadu district.

The bus was going to take the people affected by the flood

According to the information, there were about 35 people in the bus. It is not yet clear what caused the fire. According to the police, the fire started in the rear part of the bus which engulfed the entire bus. Some passengers jumped from the bus to escape the fire. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Let us tell you that Dadu District is one of the most flood affected districts of Sindh Province.
