Pakistan scores more than India
Pakistan is placed at number 42 in this list with a score of 82. Laos, Serbia, Iran and New Zealand also have the same number and ranking as Pakistan. At the same time, India is at number 60 with a score of 80. Just above Pakistan are countries claiming to be very safe like America, Italy and Germany. These three countries have 83 scores. Whereas, Australia has scored 84 and Canada has scored 87. What would be more ironic than this is that Britain has been placed below Pakistan and India with a score of 79. Russia has been ranked 77 in this list, which is at the bottom of the list of developed countries.
Question on the veracity of the survey regarding Pakistan
India has been placed below Pakistan in this survey. India’s equal countries include Iraq and Sri Lanka. In such a situation, the question arises that what security did the survey team see in Pakistan. Did they not see terrorist and extremist activities at peak in Pakistan? The Pakistani minister himself has admitted in the country’s parliament that the increasing violence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan is nothing but terrorism. TTP terrorists have increased their dominance in the Swat Valley, which is called Paradise. In such a situation, on what basis can Pakistan be declared a safer country than India?
How Gallup did the survey
The survey found that seven out of 10 people worldwide feel safe walking alone at night depending on where they live. They trust their local police. Overall, the security metrics have remained stable between 2020 and 2021, the report said. The annual Gallup survey interviewed nearly 1,27,000 people over the age of 15 in more than 122 countries and territories in 2021 and early 2022. In each country, about 1000 people answered the survey questions by telephone or face-to-face.
