Memories of a few months ago resurfaced in southwest Delhi on Tuesday. A 24-year-old man strangled his girlfriend in his car. For this the killer used the data cable of the mobile phone. Nikki was a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana. Sahil hid a big secret from his girlfriend. He did not say that his marriage was fixed with another woman. When Nikki came to know about Sahil Gehlot’s marriage, there was a heated argument between the two. This is what led to Nikki’s murder.
How did things get worse?
Sahil Gehlot was going to marry another girl. When Nikki Yadav came to know about this, she called Sahil. Nikki had an argument with Sahil. She also started insisting for marriage. This is about February 10. That day was Teddy Day. The conversation in the car grew. Sahil’s anger kept increasing. He strangled Nikki with a mobile phone data cable. After this, Sahil’s headache worsened. He started trying to find a place to bury the body. Sahil Gehlot is a resident of Mitravan village in South West Delhi. There is his family dhaba. He locked Nikki’s dead body in the refrigerator of his dhaba. He took Nikki’s dead body to the dhaba in the car. Before Sahil could dispose of the dead body, the mystery was revealed and the police nabbed the accused Sahil.
It is said that the accused Sahil left home on the night of the engagement with his cousin’s car. From there directly reached Uttam Nagar by vehicle. Here he made his girlfriend Nikki Yadav sit in this car. The other vehicle taken by the accused Sahil is not in the name of Sahil but in the name of his cousin Ashish. Sahil asked Ashish for a car. He returned in this vehicle after committing the crime.
Nikki lived with her sister
Nikki lived with her sister in West Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area. Accused Sahil also used to come to this house. Neighbors were also aware of this. According to her, Sahil and Nikki were often seen together. Both were in a live-in for many years. A theory is also doing the rounds that Nikki was threatening Sahil with a legal case for marrying another girl. This irritated Sahil Gehlot. Currently, police investigation is going on in this matter.
Nikki’s father Sunil Yadav has demanded capital punishment for Sahil. He said that Nikki went to meet the family a month and a half ago. He came to know about Nikki’s murder only on Tuesday. Police are scanning the CCTV footage. Sahil has been remanded for 5 days. He will be taken to all the places he took Nikki. Postmortem of Nikki’s body has been done at Delhi’s Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital. Meanwhile, Nikki’s latest video has also surfaced in which she is climbing the stairs.
