Satya Mohan Joshi Death News: Nepal’s famous historian and cultural scholar Satya Mohan Joshi died on Sunday (16 October). Satya Mohan, who was 103 years old, was publicly honored as the centenary man. After getting dengue, he was undergoing treatment at Installment Medical College and Teaching Hospital. The hospital had issued a medical report a few days ago, saying that his health condition remained critical.
Satya Mohan Joshi was also suffering from heart and prostate problems apart from other age related ailments. Writer Narendra Raj Prasai, a close friend of the Joshi family, has confirmed the death of the historian quoting his son in the hospital. He was undergoing treatment for prostate and heart related ailments since 23 September. Later, when his condition did not improve, he was shifted to ICU.
Difficulty in speaking
Hospital sources had told that he is also suffering from urine infection and pneumonia and recently a blood test revealed that he too has dengue. Dr Suraj Bajracharya, the director of the hospital, had told that his health had improved in the initial days, but in the last 3-4 days his condition worsened and he was finding it difficult to speak.
Free treatment was going on in the hospital
Let us tell you that the hospital was treating him in free. This hospital provides free nursing services to the Joshi family including his wife. Last year, the Joshi couple had also signed an agreement with the hospital to donate his body after death to the hospital for research.
