Nitish spoke with Patnaik for an hour
Earlier, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar met Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik at his residence on Tuesday. The conversation between the two continued for about an hour. Both the Chief Ministers claimed that during the meeting there was no discussion on forming any political alliance between the JDU and the BJD for the Lok Sabha elections next year. However, Naveen Patnaik’s recent statement made it clear that the meeting did not bring success to Nitish Kumar.
Interview with Pawar and Uddhav
Before that, Nitish Kumar has met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee in Delhi. So, today i.e. Thursday reaches Mumbai. Nitish Kumar visited NCP leader Sharad Pawar and former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at their residence in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav was also present.
How Patnaik dashed Nitish Kumar’s hopes
Naveen Patnaik-led BJD has maintained equal distance with both BJP and Congress. So when reporters asked Patnaik on Thursday if there was any possibility of BJD joining the Third Front, he replied, as far as I am concerned, no, not now. On his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Patnaik said that he discussed the issue related to the demands of the people of Odisha and not on any political issue.
