Daughter-in-law wanted to divorce son, father-in-law took her life

Police investigation has revealed that Sital Dosanjh’s daughter-in-law Gurpreet Kaur Dosanjh was trying to divorce her husband, due to which Sital Dosanjh was angry, in anger, she shot the daughter-in-law. Investigation revealed that the deceased Gurpreet was telling her uncle over phone on Friday about her fear that Setal was looking for her and would kill her.

The report said that he also allegedly told his uncle that he had seen his father-in-law Sital driving the car and that he was traveling 150 miles to reach him in search of her. Gurpreet’s uncle told the police that her niece looked “terrified” on the phone and was about to leave for her work in the car as Setal was approaching her.

That was the last thing that uncle heard before the phone call got disconnected. Just five hours after the conversation, a Walmart colleague found Gurpreet dead in the same car. He had been hit by two bullets. The report said that he was declared brought dead on the spot. It was not known who had committed the murder.

Death revealed in conversation with uncle

According to the police investigation report, Gurpreet’s uncle told that his niece “wanted to divorce the son of the suspect, Setal and his son lived in Fresno and Gurpreet lived in San Jose.”

Uncle told that when he listened to his niece, he reached the parking lot of Walmart in South San Jose from Central Valley. He told the whole thing to the police. He told that it was Setal who killed his niece. When the police investigated after the murder case was registered, Sital Dosanjh was formally identified as a possible suspect.

The next morning, Setal was arrested from his home in Fresno. During a search of his residence, police also seized a .22-caliber Beretta pistol, according to a police investigation with a murder charge filed Wednesday by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

The accused did not say anything

Setal was taken to the main prison in San Jose, where he has been held without bail. During his appearance in the San Jose courtroom on Wednesday, he was in a red jumpsuit reserved for high-security inmates, had a blue surgical mask on his face and didn’t want to talk to anyone. Nor did he file a petition. He has been ordered to appear again in the court on November 14.

During the investigation, it was seen in the CCTV camera that Setal’s black Silverado pickup truck enters the mall’s parking lot, then Setal goes near his daughter-in-law’s car and then shoots her. License plate reading cameras at Gilroy, surveillance cameras at Pacheco Pass and cell phone records of Setal Dosanjh have revealed driving back to Fresno in the next few hours.
