‘Lost’ movie review: The kind of story that Bollywood actress Yami Gautam chooses is admirable. Now she is giving importance to films with lead role instead of films with side role. Once again she has come up with a similar film called ‘Lost’. This is an emotional thriller film directed by director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. When a director like Anirudh and a strong actress like Yami are associated with a project, the expectations from the film also increase. But, in the case of ‘Lost’, do these expectations come true? Let’s talk about the review of the movie ‘Lost’.
What is the story of the movie ‘Lost’?
Many people go missing every day across the country. Talking about Kolkata, there are 500-600 cases of missing people in a month from this city. The basic theme of this film is also the same. The story of ‘Lost’ is similar to the name of the film. The film begins with a police station in Kolkata. Where a sister files a missing complaint of her brother Ishaan (Tushar Pandey) at the police station. When Vidhi (Yami Gautam) sees this helpless woman, he starts working on the case. He is a crime reporter by profession.
Ishaan’s family said that he is an honest and educated boy. On the other hand, police and politicians claim about Ishan that he has joined the Naxalites. He is not lost but joined the organization of Maoists. Yami Gautama ie Vidhi gets to the root of this case. He meets powerful politicians from MLA Umashankar to Varman (Rahul Khanna). Vidhi’s grandfather (Pankaj Kapoor) helps a lot. He is an ideal man who guides his granddaughter on the path of truth as well as boosts her courage from time to time. Now if you watch this movie you will know what is the real truth of ‘Lost’ Ishaan. Has he gone missing or has someone kidnapped him? Has he really taken refuge in a Naxalite group? You will get the answer to all these questions after watching this movie.
Anirudh, the director of this film, has entered Hindi films with the film Pink. Before this he has directed many Bengali films. Everyone recognized his talent when he directed Pink starring Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan. Then he got a lot of praise, which was also necessary. But that magic is not seen at all in ‘Lost’. However, there is no comparison between Pink and ‘Lost’. Talking about the writing of ‘Lost’, this work has been done by Shyamal Sengupta and Ritesh Shah. Riteish is a well-known name in the industry who has written screenplays and dialogues for dozens of films. Ramesh has written work on ‘Lost’ with Shyamal. The story of ‘Lost’ is good, emotional. But the dialogues seem weak. The dialogues of ‘Lost’ fail to add interest to the film.
