King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) has returned to the film screen after five years. Shah Rukh Khan has once again come to rule the hearts of the audience through the film ‘Pathaan’. Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathan’ has released in theaters today i.e. January 25. Shah Rukh Khan’s fans were eagerly waiting for the film. If you too are thinking of going to see Shah Rukh Khan’s spy movie ‘Pathan’, read the review first.

Even before the end of ‘Bigg Boss 16’, Sumbul got heaps of offers, even Ekta Kapoor chose for this show!

story

After Salman Khan (Tiger) and Hrithik Roshan (Kabir), YRF’s spy universe is now being taken forward by Shahrukh Khan. In this film, Shahrukh Khan plays the role of ex-armyman and undercover agent Pathan. While John Abraham plays Shahrukh’s nemesis whom he has never been able to defeat before. ‘Pathan’ is an ambitious action thriller film. There has been a lot of controversy regarding this film and the enthusiasm of the fans to watch it was at its peak. The film lives up to the hype it created.

Review

The story of ‘Pathan’ seems a bit hard to swallow but the star power and style makes it look like a Mountain Dew movie commercial. However, slowly the interest in the film starts to wane. The plot of the film revolves around the abrogation of Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. A Pakistani officer is not at all happy with this decision and wants India to bear the consequences of this ‘mistake’. He contacts Raw’s ex, Jim (John Abraham). Jim was wronged by his own people. Supporting him is former ISI agent Rubina (Deepika Padukone) who has many ulterior motives. Pathan, Jim and Rubina share pods with each other. This dangerous game of revenge and retribution takes them to many continents. They strive to protect the world they believe in and destroy others.

Siddharth Malhotra has already dated these beauties before deciding to tie the knot with Kiara.

direction

Director Siddharth Anand has tried his best to make the spy thriller interesting. He has shown the film as a superhero film which makes some things look unbelievable. Siddharth Anand’s fascination and obsession with Hollywood blockbusters like Marvel or Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible is revealed in ‘Pathan’. Wingsuits, smoke-based action sequences, powerful car, bike and helicopter stunts, immortal heroes, villains hitting punchlines, attractive women seducing men and above all, a patriotic spirit can be expected from the film.

Acting

Action is given more importance than emotion in the film. While Shahrukh Khan has mastered emoting on screen, it is interesting to see him convey the message through his body here. The story of the film is weak and the VFX are okay but Shah Rukh Khan’s screen presence overshadows these flaws. The background score of the film doesn’t seem relevant to the situation. While the title music of the film represents patriotism and bravery. John Abraham’s performance as Jim can be said to be the highlight of the film. Be it the stunt sequences or his entry, everything was powerful. In many parts of the film, it will seem that the villain is superior to the hero. Deepika Padukone has done enough justice to her character and her casting in terms of character also seems to be in order. But her chemistry with Shah Rukh could have been deepened, something seems to be missing between the two. The spark that exists between John and Shah Rukh’s characters is not seen with Deepika. Dimple Kapadia can be said to be the missing link of the film and the emotions. It seems like his character could have been fleshed out a bit more.

Why watch?

YRF’s Spy Universe stars Karan-Arjun of the film world i.e. Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. Seeing Salman and Shah Rukh together on the screen, you will not miss to whistle. Shah Rukh and Salman want to see each other on the screen together which you will get in ‘Pathan’. Overall ‘Pathan’ is a masala movie. The film has all the necessary elements of a masala movie like slow motion entry, truth versus lie and the strongest aspect is Shah Rukh Khan. If you are a fan of Shahrukh then ‘Pathan’ awaits you in theatres.
