story
Love makes a person crazy. This same love reveals a side of dentist Doctor Freddie Jimwala (Karthik Aryan) that he never imagined. Suffering from loneliness, Freddie’s life can be said to be successful but his personal life has many ups and downs. In his childhood, his mother was killed in front of his eyes. Which has a profound effect on his psyche. For the past five years he has been trying to find a girl on matrimonial websites. Some girls mistake his naivety for his stupidity, while others reject him as crazy. Just as he was cutting his life, there is an earthquake in his life. Freddie meets the princess of his dreams, Kaynaz (Alaya Furniturewala). Kinaz is already married. Her husband is a businessman. Kaynaz is troubled by her husband’s torture. Freddie and Kinaz meet at a wedding. Freddie falls in love with Kinaz at first sight. Gradually, their hearts meet and they decide to clear Rustom’s path. The two make a plan to unmask Kaynaz’s husband. However, the real story and twist of the film starts here. Will Freddie and Kinaz unite or is this a conspiracy? What happens when the seemingly innocent Freddy becomes a psycho killer? You have to watch the movie to know this twist and mystery.

Review
The entire burden of ‘Freddy’ is on the shoulders of Karthik and Alaya. Both are heroes as well as villains. Coming to Alaya’s performance first, she has performed better this time than her debut film ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’. Not overacting. As the story of the film progresses, it gets absorbed into it. Karthik Aryan, who is mostly seen in comedy or romantic roles on screen, is seen in the role of Sanky for the first time. He has done full justice to his character. His increased weight and expression all fit the character. Karthik and Alaya have impressed with their performances in ‘Freddy’. In the film, Alaya is giving equal competition to Karthik in terms of acting.
Direction, Writing and Technical side
‘Freddy’ is directed by Shashank Ghosh. The screenplay is written by Parvez Shaikh and the dialogue is written by Asim Arora. In any film, the director-writer is the real hero behind the scenes. The better the writing, the stronger the direction will be on screen. You will see this in ‘Freddy’. But the suspense seems to be missing. The audience can anticipate the upcoming twists and turns right from the start. The actors’ acting and Chandan Arora’s editing mask these flaws. The cinematography is by Ayananka Bose, which enhances the story. Pritam will once again entertain in the matter of music.
