Men’s Hockey World Cup is starting from coming January 13, 2023 in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela (Odisha). Before this the trophy is on its nationwide tour. After the trophy reached Jamshedpur, Mukul Chowdhary of Tata Sports Department told that the atmosphere is being prepared in the whole country for the World Cup. It was strongly welcomed by the Tata Sports Department.

The history of the Hockey World Cup trophy is 51 years old. This trophy was manufactured in Pakistan. On March 27, 1971, Bashir Mojid of Pakistan Army designed the trophy in Brussels (Belgium).
There are three different metals in this trophy. The upper part is made of gold, the middle part is made of silver and the lower part is made of ivory. For the first time in 1971, the Hockey World Cup was organized in Spain. 10 teams participated in it. Pakistan had achieved the distinction of becoming the first Hockey World Champion by defeating the hosts Spain 1-0. India got the third position.
