Liz Truss Resigns: British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigns, will ‘Indian’ Rishi Sunak get PM’s chair

London: British Prime Minister Liz Truss has resigned. A day earlier, senior leaders of the ruling Conservative Party had summoned Liz Truss and asked her to resign. The Finance Minister and Home Minister in his cabinet have already left their posts. Liz Truss was the target of opponents ever since she was sworn in as prime minister. His own party MPs were criticizing the tax cut, after which the government had to take a U-turn on its decision. It is believed that now the new leader of the Conservative Party will be re-elected. However, if the MPs of the ruling party want, then only they can vote and elect a new leader. If MPs loyal to Boris Johnson do not pose any obstacles, then Rishi Sunak is set to be elected the new Prime Minister of Britain.

Finance Minister and Home Minister have resigned
Within months of Liz Truss forming the government, two top cabinet ministers have resigned. These include the number two Home Minister Suella Braverman and the number three Finance Minister Quasi Quarteng. Quasi Quarteng was sacked by Liz Truss in the face of growing protests after the tax-cutting bill was introduced. At the same time, Suella Braverman shared a secret draft related to migrants going against the law with a colleague. After this was revealed, PM Liz Truss took Braverman’s resignation.

Suella Braverman targeted Liz Truss
Suella Braverman in her resignation launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Liz Truss. He said the business of the British government depends on people accepting responsibility for their mistakes. Braverman alleged that some people pretend they didn’t make mistakes, as if not everyone could see them. He further said that we have created them and hoping that things will magically turn out right is not serious politics. Braverman said that I am concerned about the direction of this government. We have broken the important promises that were made to our voters. I have serious concerns about the commitment of this Government to honor the manifesto commitments.

Most Conservative MPs in favor of Rishi Sunak
A new survey by U-Gov suggests that Rishi Sunak could win if elections are held for the leadership of the Conservative Party in Britain now. According to the survey, MPs from the ruling Conservative Party are regretting their decision after electing Liz Truss. The survey found that if MPs get a chance to vote again, 55 per cent of the party’s members would now vote for Rishi Sunak, while only 25 per cent would vote for Truss.
