Salman Khan’s film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan) has been waiting for a long time. Maintaining his rule, Salman Khan has brought a new film for fans on Eid this time too. Starring Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shahnaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Palak Tiwari, etc., the film released on April 21. If you are a fan of Salman Khan and are planning to watch this movie with your family this weekend, then read the review first.
Bhaijan (Salman Khan) has decided to remain a lifelong bachelor and take care of his three younger brothers. But things start to change when a beautiful girl enters his life. Here comes the unexpected twist.
Bhai’s life resides in his three younger brothers and they are his priority. These three brothers have found their life partners but Bhaijaan is still single. So they are working day and night to find ‘Bhabhi’ for him. This Daryan enters his life Bhagyalakshmi (Pooja Hegde), who is a perfect match for Bhaijaan. Also her name matches the name of Bhaijaan’s ex-girlfriend. But the problem is, the road for this seemingly perfect pair to unite is not easy as Bhagyalakshmi’s Hyderabadi family has a checkered past.
The plot of the film is very weak. In trying to show so much in the story together, they couldn’t do justice to anything. Director and co-writer Farhad Samji has put heaps of action scenes in the story but it lacks logic and common sense. There are several scenes in the first half of the film which try to be funny but don’t seem funny. The first half tests your patience. It can be said that the real story of the film starts only after the interval. The love story of three brothers Luv (Siddharth Nigam), Ishq (Raghav Juyal) and Moh (Jassi Gill) with their sweethearts Chahat (Vinali Bhatnagar), Sookun (Shehnaz Gill) and Muskaan (Palak Tiwari) respectively feels chewed up and stale. The chemistry between Bhaijaan and Bhagyalakshmi falters at first but picks up as the film progresses. Farhad Samji has rocked various characters together on screen and has not bothered to say goodbye to them. There is a crowd on the screen and this crowd can be said to be of no use as it neither provides entertainment nor a good performance.
The sound track of the film is also good. No song is memorable or enjoyable to listen to. The only thing good about the songs is that, they are beautifully shot. Among all the songs, Himesh Reshammiya composed song ‘Nayo Lagda’ is a favorite. It would have been better if the background score could have been improved a little and the editing of the film needs to be tighter. Salman Khan has built a strong body to get love for the character of Bhaijaan and it will be fun for the audience to watch. It is also fun to see how Bhaijaan, who beats enemies as an action hero, becomes innocent against Lady Love. This time in the film Bhaijaan has also made fun of himself a little and he will laugh after hearing the jokes.
How are the action scenes?
ANL Arasu’s stylish action scenes save the film to some extent. Each action sequence is well-choreographed and features never-seen-before stylish action scenes. South superstar Venkatesh and Salman Khan’s energetic action scenes will be a lot of fun to watch. Venkatesh is seen in the role of Gundamneni. He gets stuck in the character of a Gundam who would do anything to protect his family in a patriarchal system. Pooja Hegde has handled her important character well. The rest of the three heroines in the film are just decorative elements and have nothing special to do. The performances of the remaining three heroes are also below average and their characters are not well written. Among the villains of the film, Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu’s performance is very good.
Overall a poor film
Salman Khan has once again brought the film Masala for his fans. The film has larger than life action scenes and plenty of drama. But the problem with the film is that it only entertains for a short period of time. Bunch of characters, unlistenable songs and weak screenplay pales in comparison to Salman Khan’s star power. However, Salman’s fans can ignore all these flaws and be motivated to watch the film till the end. And yes, you will also get to see Salman Khan shirtless in the film.
