The sharks of Shark Tank India are known to listen to pitches made by budding entrepreneurs, but to stake their claim on the hotseat on the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, they had to pitch their own. As soon as Amitabh Bachchan asked who among them would take the hotseat, Anupam Mittal got up to grab the hotseat but was stopped by his fellow sharks from walking ahead. Vinita Singh, who is married to a fan of the actor and even named her sons Jai and Veeru, said she was the “biggest fan” of Amitabh Bachchan. She also claimed to be a fan of her father Harivansh Rai Bachchan and shared a few lines from her own poetry. She went to take the hotseat and asked Piyush Bansal to come with her.
A video also shows how Aman Gupta got up and said that he would also pitch for the hot seat. Belonging to Delhi, he said that be it a metro seat, a parliament seat or a hot seat, the people of Delhi love to take seats. “We love the seat,” he said. Anupam asks her to go ahead but make sure to clear it for a Mumbaikar like him.
Later Amitabh asks Shark why he calls Anupam ‘Gyan Nath Ji’. Piyush Bansal replied that Anupam knows everything and fights with him if he gives a wrong answer.
