In a video that has surfaced online, Karan is seen talking about being mesmerized during the shoot when co-star Reem Sameer Shaikh recited the Azaan midway through the shoot. Karan then said, “Should we wait a bit. Azaan, for Azaan? Minute bas karo (For Azaan, just two minutes).” After this he remained silent for some time.
The video also shows Karan touching his chest when someone told him from the stage that it was a good gesture to stop when he heard the Azaan. The post was flooded with comments praising the actor.
One comment read, “The world would be very peaceful if everyone respected each other’s religion.” Another wrote, “Being a Hindu, we have to act as a Muslim culture, but the bigger thing is, as good as you are gross and handsome, it is clear in your heart, man, God bless you, may all your dreams come true.”
Ishq Mein Ghayal also stars Gashmeer Mahajani and Reem Shaikh. In the promo of the show, Karan is playing the role of a werewolf named Veer. The show will premiere on 13 February on Colors TV.
Talking about the show, Karan had said at the press conference, “The kind of locations we have shot in, and the layers we have in our characters..that is the magic, the passion and the love that is in the world where the story is set done, that’s something you can’t ignore.” He also smiled and said that Gushmir and he play werewolf brothers while Reem is a woman and they all are part of a triangle love story.
Before the show, Karan had appeared in several music videos in the last few months. Over the past 14 years, he has worked in films as well as fictional and reality TV shows. He also appeared as “Jailor” in Kangana Ranaut’s reality show Locked Up. Earlier, he also hosted the Colors TV show Dance Deewane Juniors in 2022.
