India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI: In the second ODI played in Raipur, Team India defeated New Zealand by eight wickets to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the ODI series. After captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first, the entire New Zealand team was packed like cards in front of the Indian fast bowling attack. New Zealand’s score had reached 15/5 at one time with Mohammed Shami’s three wickets. After this the whole team got out on a total score of 108.
Chasing the target of 109 runs, Captain Rohit Sharma completed his half-century by scoring 51 runs off 50 balls. At the other end, Shubman Gill supported him a lot. There was a partnership of 72 runs between the two. After this Virat Kohli came to the crease, but he too could not last long and returned to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs. After this, the pair of Ishaan Kishan and Shubman Gill took India to the target in 21 overs.

Shubman Gill gave victory to Team India by hitting a four on the first ball of the 21st over. Now the third and last match is just a formality. The last match will be played at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.
Glenn Phillips scored the maximum 36 runs from New Zealand today. Together with Santner, he took his team’s score beyond 100, but he failed to increase his innings. Suryakumar Yadav took his brilliant catch on the ball of Washington Sundar. Earlier, Hardik Pandya bowled Santner.
