The current term of the National Assembly began in August 2018. Khan had resigned from the membership of Parliament in April, but it was not accepted.

According to the news, soon after the Election Commission’s decision came, Khan held two meetings with the leaders of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Will resort to constitutional paths
Imran Khan talked about adopting the constitutional route in the matter of ban, which is quite complicated and the completion of the legal process may take several weeks, if not months. It added that the party has announced to challenge the disqualification in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), but Khan may face another trial before a sessions judge. The Election Commission has sent a complaint against Khan to the judge for giving false information about the disclosure of gifts.
There was already apprehension about the decision
According to a member of the party’s legal wing of Imran Khan, there was an apprehension of such a decision from the Election Commission, so Senator Syed Ali Zafar, the head of the party’s legal team, had already drafted a petition in this regard. had done it.
However, in the absence of a written order, Khan would not be able to challenge the decision in time as a proper appeal can be filed only on receipt of attested copies of the judgment duly signed by all the members.
ECP hearing non-judicial
The main objection of the PTI party is that the Pakistan Election Commission (ECP) hearing was non-judicial. Which means a legal proceeding which is outside the scope of a particular forum. Advocate Faisal Hussain, a senior member of PTI’s legal team, told Dawn that the party plans to file a petition before the Islamabad High Court.
