Rakhi Sawant revealed that she married her boyfriend Adil Khan in a Nikah ceremony last year, followed by a court marriage. Fans were taken aback by their purported marriage certificate that went viral on social media, claiming that Rakhi changed her name to Fatima after marriage. Reacting to speculations about Rakhi converting to Islam, her brother Rakesh said that he too was not aware of any such development. On Wednesday, pictures of Rakhi and Adil’s secret wedding went viral. It featured Rakhi in a white and pink sharara with a beige dupatta on her head. Whereas Adil looked casual in shirt and jeans. Both had garlands tied around their necks and were seen signing some papers. Later, Rakhi announced her wedding on Instagram and wrote, “Finally, I am so excited and married, my love for you 4 ever unconditional love Adil.”
When asked about the news of Rakhi changing her name as per the viral pictures, Rakesh told Zoom Digital, “Yeh toh mujhe nahi patna. This is his personal thing, the talk of husband and wife. We don’t know. But if Rakhi has done it then the society must have done it, we must have done it in our own way. So he must have thought about it well and acted accordingly).
While Rakhi said that she married Adil after three months of knowing him, Adil Khan has denied the marriage and the viral pictures. After his refusal, Rakhi had said that ‘a lot has happened’ inside the ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 4’ house. She said that she will talk about it when the right time comes and added that her secret marriage needs to be told to the people.
“We are all tense. Rakhi is the youngest and has seen a lot of sorrow in her whole life. Last time in Bigg Boss, Ritesh also tried to use her and she felt very sad, upset. Rakhi ne it bar proper shaadi ki sakta hai),” added Rakesh.
Rakhi Sawant was earlier married to Ritesh Raj. Both were also seen together in Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 15. After separation, Rakhi falls in love again with Adil Khan.
