Former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satyapal Malik said that the CBI wants to know some things about the scam related to Reliance General Insurance. It may be mentioned that Satyapal Malik had alleged a scam in awarding a medical insurance policy for government employees and a work contract worth Rs 2,200 crore related to the Kiru Hydroelectric Power Project in Jammu and Kashmir, and based on this, the CBI had registered two FIRs in April last year.
As soon as this report came out, the Congress tweeted and said, ‘Finally, PM Modi is no longer with us. Satyapal Malik opened his truth in front of the country. Now CBI has called Malik. It was bound to happen.’ Congress also targeted the media in its tweet. The party said, ‘Another thing will happen. Godi media will still be silent, write it down.’
On the other hand, Satyapal Malik targeted the Modi government and tweeted, ‘I have exposed the sins of some people by telling the truth. Maybe, that’s why it has come. I am a farmer’s son, don’t be afraid. I stand with the truth.’
In the year 2018, Satyapal Malik was sent as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. It was during his tenure that the central government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Later, he was made the Governor of Meghalaya. Satyapal Malik claimed that during his tenure as Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, a minister offered him bribe to approve two files. One of the files belonged to Ambani and the other belonged to a person associated with the RSS. He was a minister in the then Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP-BJP coalition government. Not only this, this minister himself claimed to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Malik stopped both these files from moving forward. He said that he was being paid a bribe of Rs 15-150 crore for approving these two files. He said that the secretaries had told this.
