Gautam Singh Vig has said that he was shocked when neither Priyanka Chahar Chowdhary nor Shiv Thackeray reached the top. He also said that Bigg Boss 16 winner MC Steyn started understanding the game quite late. Talking about the timing of the announcement of the winner during the grand finale of Bigg Boss 16 on Sunday evening, Gautam told DNA, “It was shocking for all of us as we were expecting Priyanka. She was trending everywhere, every day. After Priyanka, I expected Shiva to win.
He said, “MC won… good thing he won. Late samaj aaya (game) but good thing samaj came. So, I think, this should be the next time people’s strategy is ‘late game’. Understand’ and take the trophy’ (It’s ok that MC Steyn won, he took time to understand the game but good that he finally got it. I think this will be a strategy people can adopt from next season – ‘Understand the dynamics of the game’ late and grab the trophy’).
MC Stan used to maintain a low profile and was often considered a non-active participant during his initial days inside the Bigg Boss 16 house. Later, he befriended some of his co-contestants including filmmaker Sajid Khan, Bigg Boss Marathi winner Shiv Thackeray and singer Abdu Rozic. Together, they formed a ‘mandali (group)’ and entertained one and all.
Right after the show started, Shalin Bhanot and Gautam almost clashed with each other over a fight over co-contestant Sumbul Touqueer Khan. The fight only calmed down after the other contestants physically separated them.
Gautam and Ankit Gupta will be seen opposite Neha Rana in the new fantasy romantic-musical series Junooniyat, which will air from Monday night on Colors TV.
Gautam is known for his performances in TV shows like Naamkarann, Ishq Subhan Allah and the film Flat 211. She has also featured in other TV shows including Pinjra Khubsurti Ka, Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 and Agni Vayu.
