Former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover shared a post after the Delhi Police’s Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) filed an FIR against him and his family members. Besides Ashneer, his wife Madhuri Jain Grover and family members Deepak Gupta, Suresh Jain and Shwetank Jain are also accused in the alleged case. In December last year, BharatPe had complained of fraud of 81 crores. Meanwhile, Ashneer posted a picture from his house. The photo showed a glimpse of a corner of his house. Ashneer poses next to Mantle. He looked casual in shirt and jeans. Sharing the photo, Ashneer wrote in the caption, “Just another day in paradise!”
Ashneer and Madhuri live in a luxurious apartment in South Delhi. While the picture shows only one corner of their house, the apartment also comes with a host of amenities. It has a beautiful living area with ivory sofas and a tea table with gold-plated coasters.
As shown in the house tour video by Brut India, Ashner also has an in-house bar adjacent to the living area, which houses over 100-150 bottles of liquor. He also showed off his infamous ivory-coloured dining table, which was said to cost Rs 10 crore. His residence with spacious corridors, children’s room, a modern kitchen, spacious bedrooms, connecting elevator and a private garage with his collection of luxurious cars.
Businessman Ashneer is the co-founder and former managing director of BharatPe. Reportedly, he was fired from the fintech in March 2022 on charges of financial irregularities. Since being ousted from the company, Ashneer has been embroiled in several court disputes.
At present, Ashneer and his family members have been charged under eight sections of serious cognizable criminal offences, including 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant, banker, merchant or agent), 420 (cheating and dishonestly disposing of property), Abetment of delivery), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc.), and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
He gained popularity from the show Shark Tank India Season 2 and became a household name. Despite the success of the first season, he did not return for season 2. He also released a book named Doglapan.
