DGP Dilbagh Singh said, ‘The accused received supplies of three IEDs in late December. He used two IEDs in Marwal area. He was working under the influence of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Qasim operating from Pakistan. It is also responsible for recent terrorist incidents. He said, ‘Arif is a government employee who supports Lashkar-e-Taiba.
He said, ‘Arif’s name came up in the investigation of IED blasts in Shastrinagar in Katra and Narwal in Jammu on January 21.’ So far we have seen explosive materials, sticky bombs and IEDs with timers. But a new type of IED has been recovered from Arif. This IED is in the form of a bottle. Which looks like a perfume bottle. But it contains explosive material. We haven’t touched it yet.
